Free Samples: Five Great Websites to find them

Free samples anyone?... Who could say no to that question?
In the declining economy, cheap is good, but FREE is even better!
 
Why do companies provide free samples?
Corporations provide samples to consumers in hopes to "draw you in" on their product versus another similar product. Most samples are for new and improved products, to promote a new line of products, or to battle direct competition.
 
What can I get samples of?

Categories of samples available over the Internet are endless. They range from convenient (Like a sample of laundry detergent, GREAT for when you run out and have one last load),  To random and silly (think aged tomato seeds). Most are delivered to your door by providing a mailing address, and some are downloadable, such as printable coupons and mp3 files. Trial size products also make great travel products.
 
Best Sample Sites
Through trial and error, I have found what I think to be the best sample sites based on easy-to-read navigation and controls, how often the site is updated, and the variety of samples available.
 

• Hey, It's Free! - My personal favorite! This website has several staff members that post new links to sample websites at least every other day, complete with a witty description that may make you laugh. They group older samples through simple "categories", and are even kind enough to let you know when a sample is "dead". You can even become a member of an interactive forum.
• FreeSamplesBlog - Much like Hey, It's free. Less updated and a lot simpler.
• Shop4freebies - Pretty simple, yet efficient website. The main page boasts the newest samples, and you can view/click categories on the lefthand side of the page. The website also features a brief FAQ.
• Thunderfap may feature some goodies that the other websites left out, but sampler beware - Tons of annoying adware on this page. I suggest steering clear of  the "money-making sites"... Remember if it sounds too good to be true....
• TheFreeSite - Much like the aforementioned. Try clicking on the "free samples" button, but avoid the free internet encryption and downloadable fonts... these tend to clog up your PC.
