Frugal Village has suggestions on what to stock up on. Do you do this or not bother? I like to pick up the more expensive bathroom gift sets when they get down to 70% off. I keep one for me and now have spare sets for when anybody needs a donation for a raffle for school or for a birthday I'd forgotten.
I like the food kinds too. Always check the expiry dates on those and look for ones that don't have Christmas themed packaging. The mugs with special teas and coffees are always a good buy.

Without frugality none can be rich, and with it very few would be poor.

I like to get the expensive body lotions on clearance because with skincare you definitely do get what you pay for.
This was news to me.

White sales are in January, so you’ll be able to find non-holiday-related merchandise such as sheets, bedding, place mats, pillows, curtains and towels.

I might splash out on a new comforter. I had priced them in the Fall and what I liked was too much. I have extravagant tastes with a pauper's pocket LOL. I'll cross my fingers :)

I buy up any foodstuffs I can get at rock bottom prices. I don't care if it has Santa on the packet. It's the same stuff inside that's in their ordinary boxes the rest of the year. As long as there is at least six months left before the expiration, I'll take it.

I usually keep my eyes open for high quality winter clothes that are reduced. You can get some much better quality sweatshirts that won't bobble after the first wash or start getting threadbare in a month or two for the price of a cheap one. They last forever, as do good shirts. I could do with a smartish looking winter coat and a new fleece. Let me know if you see any bargains!

I get what I'll use and resist buying things I won't. It's tempting to grab yet another sweater when it's half price but cheaper to not buy it at all if I don't need it. I do like picking up half price Christmas candy. I like having a bowlful on the table in case any families with kiddies come visiting.

Savannah, I like this coat. It's unusual and makes me think of Little Drummer Boy. It has a military feel to it. :) $48.99's not bad.

I like fleece jackets too and the colors of this caught my eye. It would be a change from a fleece. It's by WDNY and only $28.99, fully lined too.

That striped jacket is lovely, pennywise. Nice choice! I like plums and browns. I'm going to see if that goes on sale even more tomorrow. :) I've been wearing fleece jackets all winter and am sick of looking at myself in them. That would go with loads of stuff in my closet too.

The military coat's very smart, although not enough of a bargain yet. Savannah, no coming to my town wearing the knitted jacket LOL.
