What are your options for solving a debt problem in the states?

Hi, I write for a site called TalkAboutDebt in the UK and we're thinking about extending to the US. Are the main debt solutions the same?
In the UK I know that laws around bankruptcy and the IVA will be different, but is the debt management plan as big? Who are the main players? Are they charities or companies or both, like in the UK?

I'm not sure what you're asking. What do you mean by "is the debt management plan as big?" Do you mean is it big business? These pages from the FTC might help clear anything up.
