You may wish to pass this along to any vets that you know of.  November 5, 7 and 11th could get them a good food deal.

Thank you micharch! :) I wish more businesses would make an effort like that.

Will do, micharch. I'll watch for more that I can add to the list too. Thanks. :)

Re: Veterans Day 2010 freebies and discounts

Veterans who wish to receive a free folding cane may request one at a Sam’s Club on November 10, 11, or 12, 2010. A Sam’s Club membership is not required to receive the free Hugo® Salutes folding cane, which retails for $29.99 and includes the following features:

  • A single-tip cane
  • Ergonomic comfort grip handle
  • May be used with either the left or right hand
  • Supports up to 250 pounds
  • Adjusts to fit heights between 5’ and 6’3”
  • Easily folds into four sections
  • Unfolds automatically and locks into place securely
  • Includes an attached wrist strap
  • Is metallic blue

Veterans should be prepared to present military identification as proof of military service may be required. Supplies are limited – each Sam’s Club location will receive approximately 60 canes.

Re: Veterans Day

I read that everyone, not just veterans, can get free admission to National Parks on Veterans Day too.

Re: Veterans Day

Thank you for all the tips! I wouldn't mind a day out if the weather stays mild. You never know what it's going to do from one week to the next.

Today's the day for the canes if you want to let a veteran know. I think that's an excellent giveaway!
