You need to buy it first and then claim back your rebate check via a rebate form according to the PDF. So there's no guarantee that you won't buy it and definitely have time to submit your claim before the rebate forms run out.  I don't know why they didn't just offer a coupon and keep it simple.

With luck we'll get our money back. I'm like you cookiefan. I had to replace mine with something. I might as well buy this and maybe get the rebate than buy another brand and definitely not! LOL
