Sorry my friends, but we can't stall any longer on tackling Santa's list. :) I'll get us rolling with this great gift for a fussy teen, a video MP3 player. They are so hard to buy for! It's refurbished but I won't tell if you don't. :) It was $79.99 and has $50 off.

That is a cool gift! You can't get much for thirty dollars now that will please a teenager. I like it, Kay. I'm hanging out at Amazon and watching them like a hawk. I keep hoping the Kindle will come down in price. My husband would like one. I'll not be buying until that is under three figures. It's at $139 now, or the  Kindle 3G is $189.

Splash, does it have to be a Kindle? There's the Nook ebook reader too. I don't know how much it is. I'm just saying there's more options.

Thank you ladies for all the tips. I want to have all my shopping done and dusted by this weekend. This men's Sean John Luminary Microsuede Parka in Grey from Eastbay is a fantastic buy. Reduced by over a hundred dollars from $164.99 to $35.99 too! It's $7.99 shipping. I don't mind paying shipping if the bargain is that good.

I saw it at Nextag.http://deals.nextag.com/;jsessionid=5A8419439326CAC265F8935A9532AF13?nxtg=4f90a1c0537-C0CBF2C947C212F1&dealId=23141

Nice jacket . It's a shame I don't have a guy on my Christmas list that would suit. You all made me think about visiting overstock.com. I've not been there in a long, long time it feels like! They stock very different looking jewelry from foreign shores.
I adore this handmade metal matisse beaded bracelet.  It's so unusual! The teal color's my favorite. It's from India and the story behind the art is very interesting. It's also a Worldstock Fair Trade item. It was $17.99 and is now $16.19. I know that's no big discount but think of all the good you're doing buying that. :)

Story Behind the Art:

Sushma lives in New Delhi, India with her husband and two young sons. She had to leave school early due to distance and family illness. She learned about Tara Projects 5 years ago and began working there, immediately receiving a fair wage and steady employment. Sushma works 5-6 hours a day and supplements her husband's income to sustain their family. She pays for her children's school fees, food, and clothing.

What is Worldstock?

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

Shipping for this item is free too.

That is very nice indeed, bringmeroses. And I didn't know that Overstock.com takes PayPal too until I checked the Payment Methods. I don't like using a credit card online and will always pick the PayPal account option first.

Re: Share Christmas gift bargains

I swung by Amazon and caught this magic set reduced. It's got an instructional DVD too.  See if you can bundle it with more stuff since it's under the free shipping limit. It's a $40 gift for $8.99 and suitable for age 6 and up.

With over 150 cool tricks to perform the Astounding Magic DVD set is one of the best magic kits we've ever made. Included in this truly astounding set are such classics as the Linking Rings which link and unlink instantly, yet they all appear to be perfectly solid, the Cups and Balls, the oldest and most famous magic trick in the world, the Card Box, that makes cards appear, disappear and change into other cards, the Appearing Soap Bubble, a real soap bubble turns into a solid one that can actually be handed out, the incredible Squeeze Through, in which a solid borrowed ring passes through an impossibly small hole and the Fantasma Phantom deck. With this deck you can have a card selected and in a blink of an eye all the cards turn into the selected card. This set is ideal for magicians 6 and up, but many adult magicians choose the Astounding Magic DVD set when they want easy to do, yet professional level magic. In addition to the amazing close-up magic tricks you will learn, you also get the amazing Arm Twister illusion, perfect for your next stage show. You simply put your arm in the box and rotate it around and around to the astonishment of all your friends. You also get the Die Penetration, a large die is placed into a tube that has a solid board in the middle of it, yet the die passes all the way through to the bottom, just like magic. The Astounding Magic DVD set comes with a written instructional manual as well as a DVD with many of these great tricks fully demonstrated to make learning a breeze. Just as with all of the Fantasma Magic kits, the Astounding DVD set comes with the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the largest magic organization in the world, seal of approval.

There's a video too under the image on the page showing a kid performing the solid rings trick. :) I always wanted a magic trick set when I was small too and never got one. I was deprived, deprived I say!!! LOL. Kidding.

I say you should buy it and learn the magic rings trick then, cheapncheerful. :) You're over 6, right? LOL. Treat yourself! It would be cheaper than all the therapy you'll need for feeling so deprived. ;)

Re: Share Christmas gift bargains

I was reading these tips and this gift idea really appealed to me.

We treat each daughter's family to a membership at a museum, aquarium, zoo or other place where they can use the money to buy an annual membership and go more than once as a family to enjoy throughout the year and only pay for the gas to get there.
