My geeky side is excited! They have released their 137 years worth of archives for browsing free of charge with the help of Google. What's very interesting is if you search a year then look at the old articles out around then. The pages of Popular Science have been scanned so you get the images too.

I think the old ads are just as interesting as the articles! Just for fun, look up terms like smoking and see how attitudes have changed.
I love the artwork! That spacepod thing on the left is very cool. Those were the days when a real person did the art, not a computer. Computer generated images make it all so easy now. I bet Picasso would never have used Photoshop. Thanks, cheapncheerful! :)
These would be a fantastic resource for homeschooling too. The history of science is right there.
