President Obama will nominate a former Ohio attorney general to head the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
... In making this nomination, the president passed over Elizabeth Warren, the longtime favorite for the job. Warren is credited with thinking up the idea of an agency with the mission of looking out for the financial best interests of consumers.

It's supposed to have from what I can glean in the news, Savannah. In fact it's had opposition because of that. Imagine! Politicians complaining because it will be protecting the public from being looked out for. Don't get me started...
Then the public needs to take heed of which politicians were against it and kick them out on their butts when they are up for re-election! We're too soft and forget they are supposed to represent US, not themselves.

Let's hope this Bureau has some teeth!
