This is a neat idea and much, much less than a composter would be. Anybody priced them? They'll set you back over a hundred dollars and that's the lowest price range!
What You Need:

- A drill
- A 1/2-inch wood bit

That would be a brilliant way to keep the kids amused and active too. They sit around too much anyway. :) Thanks cheapncheerful!
Sounds like a frugal option to me! Good find, cheapncheerful. :)
You wouldn't get very much compost by the end of it! Still, I'm game. Thank you cheapncheerful! :)
I think that would be more than enough to suit my needs. But doesn't it take a year or more to break down to where you can use the compost?
We had a trash bag full of leaves we'd forgotten about one fall. It lay in a far corner of the yard for about two years and gave us some very nice material to mix in with the soil the next Spring. I was composting and didn't even know it LOL.
I like the idea of the bag. Couldn't you just sort of roll it around to turn the leaves over? Talk about a cheap solution!
I think you could if the bag was a sturdy one and not one of those garbage bags that you could spit through. I had stuff in a thin one in my shed and the bag disintegrated basically from just sitting there under a bench.
Guess you'd have to have one of those thick mil lawn and leaf bags. Not just a regular trash bag...

I like the idea of rolling it around the garden. It will give the neighbors something to talk about! LOL
