This LifeHacker article gives some suggestions but I just know we can do better. What do you all have up your sleeves for summer meals that don't heat the house up? And I love no-bake cheesecake.

Ratatouille is very fast to make on the stovetop since it's all vegetables and cooked in one pot. I can have that ready in about 15 mins from start to finish and that includes dicing the veg. Serve that with crusty bread. Yum!

My appetite goes way down the hotter it gets. Try these delicious Open-Face Sausage & Pepper Sandwiches. I know you use the oven but only for 10 minutes then another 5.

Go for fruit salads with a yoghurt dip for a change. You can fill yourself up with fruit just as easily as you can with meat and two veg. It's better for you too. :)

Wraps are fast and easy too. Slice beef or chicken thin, stir fry it with some crispy veg like onions and peppers and drizzle dressing on it. Fill the warmed wraps and you're done in ten minutes tops.

Thank you for the ideas. I love wraps. Pita bread works just as well if you stuff them with those types of fillings. I liked this chicken broccoli and mozzarella calzone recipe I saw at Simple Dollar. It takes 18 minutes in the oven, I know! I couldn't resist it. That counts as fast. :)

Love the calzone idea! When I'm cooking anything in the oven in summer, dinner is always served later on in the evening. I don't make it until about 7-9pm. Wait at least until the sun's gone down. :)

Pulled pork, done in the crockpot. It takes you all of two minutes to unwrap a butt roast and put it in the crockpot. I have an oval shaped one which makes doing roasts very easy. I add about half a cup of water to it, some salt and leave it alone covered for about 1 hour on high first then 8-10 hours on low. No lifting the lid all the time.

Put it on first thing when you get up and it's ready when everybody's home from school and work. I use a 3-4 lb roast. When it's cooked and starting to fall apart, use two forks to shred it. Add a bottle of BBQ sauce (more or less depending on how runny you like your pulled pork and the size of it), stir it into the shredded pork and leave it about another half hour. Really all you need to do is warm it all through.

Serve on paper plates with hamburger rolls and fries. Enjoy having one only pot to wash. :)
