I like Hulu too. The fact that you can watch it anytime that suits you and not when it suits the networks is great for me. I've only once missed an episode that had dropped off before I remembered to watch it.
I try to limit my time watching TV shows or a whole day can fly by. I use my TV set to watch DVD's and I catch TV on Hulu. There's always something good to watch. I haven't had cable for about six years if not more and don't miss it one bit.
We do Netflix through my lapotop. It was the only way I could get my husband to drop HBO. Actually, it turned out well because we do a family movie night every week now. We just go online and look for a move and we're up and running in no time.
You can watch movies on Hulu too for free, rleahy. And you can connect your computer up to your TV so that what plays on the computer is on the TV screen. My neighbor did his and he said it's easy, only a couple of cables. I keep meaning to ask him what I'd need to set it up. I'm hoping he'll offer to do it since he knows how to.
I need to check out Hulu now!

This explains different ways to do that, purplerain. How to Watch Hulu on Your TV.
Hi jane, welcome to SavingTools.com :)
If you have a flat screen TV, you just need a monitor cable that goes from PC to TV. Older TVs with no monitor input require an adapter. You might need additional stuff to get the sound from PC to TV. Our PC hooks into our stereo and plays the sound that way. It can be tricky getting your laptop to switch over to the TV. You look at your "F" keys and pick the one that looks like a computer/TV. Hit FN and that key at the same time (maybe more than once) to get the picture over to the TV. Mine is F5. Some are F4 or F2.

Is that just on a laptop, rleahy? I'm looking at my PC and don't see anything that looks like a computer/TV.

We haven't had cable for a long time. It just kept going up and up until we couldn't keep doing it anymore. We're not big TV watchers anyway. I watch about an hour every couple of days on Hulu.
