Our local museums have one day a week (Tuesday?) where the entrance fee is waived for all citizens from 5PM until closing. Its' great that these places are made available to those who may not be able to afford the fee due to financial problems.

That's cool, micharch! I wonder if any near us do that too regularly? It would definitely encourage me to visit more often. When you have a family, even day trips work out much more expensive when you have to count in admittance fees.

I could be wrong but I don't remember having to pay for museums when I was a kid. We had one a block away and used to hang out there when we got bored during summer vacation. I think I would have remembered having to pay an entrance fee and I don't think we would have went so much if it wasn't free. The lady was always telling us off for being too noisy LOL.

I don't recall having to pay either, Jewel. Back then I think it was the local council's job to fund the museum and art gallery from our taxes.

I should, shouldn't I! I might ask my girlfriend to go with me and we'll let the men babysit. She likes museums and art shows. Good idea! Thank you purplerain. :)
That's an excellent idea! I'd need to drag them away from the TV of course but that's no bad thing. Or maybe we'll get a babysitter and just the two of us can go and enjoy it. Thank you pennywise. :)
