I don't have one but thought this was too good not to share. Amazon has a selection of limited-time free downloads. Get what you can use while you can!You can find more in the slider below the book itself of "Customers Who Bought This Also Bought..."
Here's some examples. If there's any catch, I don't see it.

Unlock the Hidden Job Market (Free Book for a Limited Time): 6 Steps to a Successful Job Search When Times Are Tough (Kindle Edition)
Very nice find, Jewel! I knew they offered free music and games. Books I didn't expect to see.
Thank you Jewel! A Kindle's kinda out of my price range. Amazon.com does have other options though.
I saw a link to a free download so you can read Kindle books on your PC. I don't have time to test it out right now. Could one of you try that and share feedback please?

Yippee, I'm all excited a whole new freebie world opening up to me!! I'm downloading that, greenmachine. Once I've tried it I'll let you know unless another member beats me to it.
I don't read enough that I'd use these. Great deal though! :)
I'm trying it out. You don't need to register when it asks you to. You can click the continue without registering option. Thank you Jewel! :)
I found out that you can view a list of the top 100 free Kindle books at Amazon that are available for download.

Wow! I have never even glanced at Kindle books because I didn't own a Kindle. Thanks for all the free book download links and the Kindle for PC link. :)
That's a very good list, frazzledmom. I'll check back on those top 100 regularly to see what's new. Thank you. :)
Greenmachine, I tried the Kindle for PC and it works just fine. It's a simple download and easy to add your book choices that you want to download. All mine are free ones.
Some of the free books are previews and just a few chapters long. Not many, but some. I always check the review comments before I download to see if that's brought up.
