I'm not putting anything in my garden this spring that I don't know will thrive. I like to try different plants but when they don't it's a waste of money. I'm sticking with tried and tested flowers. It will take all my self-control to resist! Thank you Kay. :)
I was thinking I would put in more mature plants instead of mostly seeds this year. I get impatient waiting for them to bloom and fill in all the gaps, so I might buy some that are further along instead of just baby ones. It depends on how expensive they are. Kay, thanks for the free book!
I don't have a very green thumb and I love flowers too. Delicate kinds don't get planted in my yard. I just kill them LOL. :) Thank you Kay. I'm grateful for any guidance at all. I might try vegetables this summer.
I can't wait for Spring to get here and the snow to be over and done with. I'm sick of being cold and want to get that drab old yard brightened up.
Splash, I have one word for you: marigolds. You can't kill them and if you're quick to buy the six packs when they start coming into the stores, you can get nice red ones instead of the usual orange and yellow. In my neighborhood that color sells out fast. They grow well from seed too.
I have a barren corner that I can't decide what to put in there. This will give me some inspiration I hope. Thanks Kay!
With spots like that if the grass isn't even going it's hard to find plants that do, pennywise. I would ask the staff in your local garden center what's the hardiest, toughest thing they have that grows in that type of terrain. They know better than most.
Thanks Kay!
I just want a plant to grow this year! Last summer was so hot and dry they had no chance of thriving and I wasn't going to spend a fortune constantly watering them. A seed pack gets very expensive if you need to water every day with a hose.
I'm going to wait and see what this garden book inspires me to do. I want as little work and as much color as possible. Not much to ask, is it? :) Thanks Kay.

I was thinking about the garden this morning. The dollar store has racks and racks of seeds right next to the discounted Christmas stuff. Heck, let me get one season behind me at a time! :) Thanks Kay.
