I think all the screens and digital devices they stare at all day long has to affect their eyesight, Savannah. We only had TV back then. Now they have ereaders, TV shows, computers, gaming consoles, cellphones etc. That has to cause eye strain, surely.
You could be on to something there, cheapncheerful. Heck, when we got our first office computers at work we were told to make sure we took a break from looking at the screen for 10 minutes every hour to avoid eye strain.
I don't know if that advice holds true now with new types of screens like LCD's being common but the importance of doing that was stressed to us. I'm lucky if I look up from mine once every three hours for two minutes when I'm online LOL.
Thanks cheapncheerful. :) Activity books are always welcome for emergency boredom days. :)
I agree, Splash! When winter storms start coming, we never know if we're going to have power all day or not. Our electricity supply is very fickle and it doesn't take much to bring it down. Thanks cheapncheerful! :)

You know it's funny...when I was in school I think there was one child in my class that wore glasses. Now you see lots more of them at a very young age wearing them. You've got to wonder what's changed. Thank you cheapncheerful!
