Target is sponsoring free and reduced price admission to museums and art events. Check out your state and see if there are any near you. :)

Target invites you and your family to see more of the arts while spending less. As part of our efforts to support education in the communities we serve, Target sponsors free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events nationwide.
Watch the video and see how we're helping families spend some quality time with the arts:

That's a nice way for them to give back to the community. More companies should support cultural events. Then we might be able to afford to do more of things like going to the theater and seeing a play.

The theater is such a rip-off! I enjoy a play and would go often if the tickets were priced lower. Then they lament that no-one supports the arts. We can't because it's too costly to take a family to see a show. Simple as that.

Thank you, pennywise. :) I agree with Jewel. It would be excellent if more companies took on board an initiative like this.

I agree with you, cookiefan. I like live theater very much and only go once in a blue moon for that very reason. It's an expensive night out.

Aquariums offer discounts too. I know it's not arty, but it's another alternative place to visit. Check their sites to find out before you make plans. Some only do it once a year but you might get lucky! :)
