There's more of these appearing so I thought we could keep them all together. Then we won't miss any goodies before they finish!
Staples has a good deal if you're in the market for a new printer and a free recycling event too.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 23, 2009-- Staples,Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS), the world’s largest office products company, today announced it is rewarding customers by offering free printer recycling and a $50 rebate with the purchase of a new printer (regularly priced $179 and up) at all Staples 1,500 U.S. stores and Staples.com through May 2, 2009.
Staples, a leader in office technology recycling, is hosting the printer recycling event for the second consecutive year. During the 2008 recycling event, Staples collected more than 100,000 printers, and expects to recycle even more this spring. To make it easier for customers to recycle office technology, Staples is also offering customers free recycling of any technology product it sells on Earth Day, April 22, 2009, at any Staples store nationwide. Customers can bring in any item Staples sells to recycle at their local Staples, including telephones, digital cameras, computers, laptops and GPS devices (one per item customer).

I'd need to raid my shed for the recycling event. It's a printer and telephone graveyard LOL. Half of them date back years and probably wouldn't work at all if I had the right connector cables. I don't know why I can't just throw them out!

Thanks Jewel! I could add to that recycling pile too.
Drey's Library has got an Earth Day promotion running where you can win a set of 6 books from Hatchette. Just comment on her post before the end of April about "what, if anything, you do to save the Earth". You can earn extra entries in other ways like Tweeting about it too.

Good idea, Jewel! Pets can get freebie treats too this Earth Day if they're lucky. You can enter a competition to win a pack of Smooches, Nuzzles, and Pecks.  http://4theloveofanimals.com/blog/2009/04/22/earth-day-giveaway/

My dogs will love you forever for that, Savannah if I win. :) They're spoiled rotten with treats.

Serviceexperts.com had an Earth Day promotion for a free programmable thermostat. Unfortunately I didn't see it in time to post about. They still have a deal for AC service tuneups that are at a discounted rate running though if you have one in your area. I don't have one within 100 miles LOL.

One of my neighbors is a heating and air guy so I can count on him to do a cheap service before it gets turned on this year, thank goodness! That's one service I don't mind spending money on.

I'm glad you all liked this thread idea! The deals seem to be more or less over now unless anyone finds some stragglers that are still open. Thanks for adding to this. :)

Thanks for starting it, Jewel. Next year we'll be ahead of the game. I'm marking it on my calendar four weeks before it arrives because I saw some announced before April. We can start looking sooner. :)
