Giving new life to old clothes – making them last just that bit longer – either old faves or new clothes too good to give up on – here are some super creative mending ideas to stretch out the life of your clothing.

Do you mend clothes or do you thrown them out? I'll mend them if it's just a small rip or tear. Anything that involves seams is beyond me.

I like the sew-on embroidered patches you get like the smiley faces. They are good for patching denims that are wearing thin at the knees for the kids--and me! :)

I like the checkerboard jeans she's wearing there! I have a couple of pairs lying in the back of a cupboard that are too worn in places to wear but too good to throw out I could do that with.



Children really brighten up a household - they never turn the lights off.
