I don't know if any of you use this service but Angel Food Ministries was really well known for distributing cheap food parcels nationwide through various churches and local groups willing to help hand it out. Any family could get one and it was $30 for a box of food that was enough to feed a family of four for a week. The parcel's were worth at least twice that.
The non-profit was raided by the FBI the other week and the founders are accused of draining funds for themselves! I missed the story when that happened but this is it.

I wonder what will happen now? The news says that half a million families rely on them every month.

I was very disappointed to hear that about them. The group does such good work but there goes the reputation. Organizations aren't fazed by being associated with them and it's business as usual according to this article.

“I know this system and to know how it works is to know that there is not much money profitwise,” she said. “I have total faith in God that he would clear Joe Wingo. … A man that loves people as much as he does, I had no way of even believing he was guilty of what they were accusing him of.”
Such news organizations as the Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Associated Press and Religion News Service reported that in 2006 the Wingos and their two sons drew combined salaries of more than $2.1 million, up from $323,000 in 2005. The combined salaries dropped to $501,472 in 2007, tax records show.
