This is something I'd not heard before!

Rub jeans and t-shirts with 100-grit sandpaper to give them a distressed look. Why pay a hundred bucks for ragged jeans when you could just make them yourself?

That's news to me too. I know we have sandpaper in the shed from my husband's last DIY project. I haven't a clue if it's 100-grit or not. I thought sandpaper was sandpaper and all the same, no?  You learn something new every day. I'll be rubbing it on an old pair of jeans to try that out of curiosity anyway! Thank you greenmachine. :)

I knew you could get different grades of sandpaper- some make it smoother than others. I didn't know you could do that to your jeans though! I feel like experimenting now, greenmachine! I appreciate the inspiration. :)

And you can't beat a big yard sale for clothing bargains too. Our local churches have lots of rummage sales on from mid May onwards and you can always find something good there.
